Q:  Do you accept patients with insurance plans?
A:   Yes, but insurance plans are not billed by the practice and not accepted for
payment.  Please refer to the
Fees page for more information.

Q:  Do you accept patients with Medicare or Medicaid?
A:  No.

Q:  Do you see patients in the hospital?
A:  No.

Q:  What happens if I am ever hospitalized?
A:   Your care would be provided by another psychiatrist (or another physician) who
does see patients in the hospital.  It is your responsibility to inform the practice of your
admission so that your care may be coordinated with the hospital staff.  Likewise, it is
also your responsibility to inform the practice of your discharge, and to follow any
recommendations from the hospital staff for subsequent care.

Q:  What happens if I am ever in a crisis or emergency?
A:   It is your responsibility to maintain your safety by calling the 911 Emergency
Dispatch Service for help or by going to the nearest hospital Emergency Room for help.

Q:  Do you offer care via email, telephone, online chat or video conferencing?
A:  No, all care is provided in a traditional outpatient office setting.

Q:  How do you handle medication refills?
A:  This depends on the course of treatment at the time.  Please ask in advance if this  
is important to you.

Q:  Do you treat children, adolescents, or patients with advanced dementia?
A:  No.

Q:  Do you treat patients with substance abuse concerns?
A:  This depends on how much the substance abuse is affecting the rest of the
treatment at the time.  Substance abuse is often present with many psychiatric issues.
